Statement of Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion from the Partners of MIJS
The tragic events taking place in our country over recent weeks have brought feelings of fear, anger, sadness and frustration. These recent events have brought to the forefront the continuing effects of racism in this country. On behalf of the firm, we will not tolerate racism in any form. Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele remains committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture. We believe no one should be treated differently because of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or background. Racial injustice, which some of you and your families have experienced, is unacceptable to all of us. We cannot fully meet our core values without ensuring that our firm continues to be a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Promoting diversity and an inclusive culture continues to be a top priority for Moore, Ingram, Johnson & Steele, as we recognize the value of diverse experiences and perspectives to our firm and our clients. Through teamwork and collaboration, we can do our best work for our clients and communities. Guided by these principles, we will take time to understand what is happening in our communities, and how it is affecting our co-workers and clients. We will look for ways to make an impact in our communities. We pledge to keep listening, learning, and engaging in honest dialogue with one another, as we endeavor to fight racial injustice.
In the coming months, we will be instituting action items that reflect these values in a further effort to move us forward as a competitive and increasingly culturally diverse law firm.
