MIJS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Lawyers are keenly aware of the long term benefits a good education can have on the life of a student.  In 2006, John Moore, the Founding Partner of Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, LLP, created the MIJS Scholarship Foundation.  MIJS proudly works with Marietta High School to identify promising students who need  financial assistance and who will take advantage of the opportunity MIJS aspires to provide.  The MIJS Scholarship Foundation winners are called “Moore Scholars” in honor of John.  To date, the MIJS Scholarship Foundation has provided over $470,000.00 in scholarship funding to MHS students.

The first Moore Scholar graduated in 2011 and since then an additional 24 Moore Scholars have graduated from various colleges including Georgia State University, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, Clayton State, University of South Carolina, University of North Carolina, Armstrong Atlantic State, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Texas Christian University thanks to the MIJS Scholarship Foundation.  

There are currently 6 Moore Scholars enrolled in various colleges.  This year MIJS selected 4 students from MHS to receive scholarships.
